WindLogics focuses on helping the power industry understand critical wind and weather conditions. To do this, the WindLogics staff systematically acquires, evaluates and analyzes all relevant data to provide the decision support needed to achieve project success. Our staff of 80 atmospheric scientists, meteorologists, computer scientists and other industry professionals includes 43 advanced degrees, including 10 PhDs, and over 850 years of relevant industry experience.
Our experts provide bankable decision support for preliminary wind project assessment, wind farm financial feasibility, detailed project siting, and operational services (data management and wind power forecasting).
This staff has conducted more than 1,100 wind resource analyses and provides operational forecasting services for more than 7,000 MW of wind energy capacity.
Our research staff conducts studies involving wind assessment, wind forecasting and applied mathematics applications of machine learning algorithms. Their notable work includes novel applications of mesoscale and microscale modeling, long-term climatological normalization, application of support vector machine learning systems to create ensemble forecasts, and procedures for wind plant operational assessment.
